If you turn it on in your preferences, we also show donor profiles supplied by our partner fertility clinics alongside individual user profiles.

Is Banbino a dating app or a fertility service?

Neither, exactly. We're a software platform that makes introductions. We aren't a fertility clinic, sperm or egg bank, surrogacy agency, or law firm, and we don't provide medical or legal services. We also aren't a hookup app, Banbino exists for family-building, and everything on it has to be consistent with that.

Who can join?

Anyone 18 or over who is genuinely looking to start or expand a family. That includes singles, couples, LGBTQ+ individuals, people facing fertility challenges, and people interested in co-parenting. If the age of majority where you live is higher than 18, you need to have reached that age. There are no exceptions, we don't allow anyone under 18 on Banbino for any reason.

Can I have more than one account?

Accepted Answer

No. One account per person. Accounts can't be shared, sold, or transferred, and running multiple accounts can get all of them suspended.

Yes, recent, unedited photos of you. No AI-generated images presented as real photos, no using someone else's pictures. Every profile on Banbino is a real verified adult or a donor profile supplied by a licensed clinic. We don't create or allow bots, AI personas, or fake profiles.

Two routes. Individual donors connect with you directly, and everything after the introduction is between the two of you. Clinic donors are approached through the clinic's own process and protocols.

Surrogacy connections sometimes form organically, but we strongly recommend working with an established surrogacy agency for the legal and medical protections. We are not a surrogacy agency and don't arrange or supervise surrogacy.

No. We provide the software and the introduction. Every decision after that, whether to proceed, with whom, on what terms, in which country, with what medical involvement and what paperwork, is yours.

What are clinic donors?

Sperm and egg donors whose profiles come from our partner fertility clinics and gamete banks. Those profiles typically include medical history and genetic screening results, maintained by the clinic. Instead of you searching across a dozen separate bank websites, we bring them into one place.

How are clinic donors different from individual donors?

Clinic donors have been through the clinic's medical and psychological screening, and donations are handled through licensed facilities with established legal protections. Individual donor arrangements have none of that built in, you'd need to arrange screening and legal documentation yourselves.

Do you check the medical information on clinic donor profiles?

No. Clinic profiles are third-party content. The clinic supplies, screens, and updates them; we display them. We don't independently verify medical, genetic, or identity information, and we don't recommend or select donors for you. Anything you take forward with a clinic runs under that clinic's own terms and consent forms.

Yes. If you're interested in a clinic donor profile, contact details can be shared and you're free to deal with the clinic directly, outside the app.

Do clinic donors cost extra?

Viewing clinic donor profiles and contacting clinics through Banbino is free. Actual donation procedures are a separate transaction between you and the medical facility. We don't sell gametes, don't take a commission, and receive nothing from those transactions.

Do I need to share my medical information?

Accepted Answer

It isn't required. Sharing relevant medical history and screening results tends to lead to better-informed matches, especially for co-parenting and donation. Bear in mind that health and genetic information shared by individual users is self-reported and unverified by us, don't make a medical decision based on it.

What screening do you recommend for an individual donor arrangement?

Treatment at a licensed clinic; infectious disease and genetic carrier screening for everyone involved; independent legal advice for each person from a lawyer qualified in reproductive law where you are; a written agreement covering parental rights, financial responsibility, contact, and disclosure to any resulting child; and counselling where it's available. Home insemination and undocumented arrangements carry serious legal risk for everyone.

Does Banbino handle payments between users?

Never. We don't process, hold, escrow, broker, or take a commission on any payment between you and another user, a donor, a surrogate, or a clinic. The only money we ever charge you is our own subscription fee, and that buys access to the app, nothing else. No fee you pay Banbino is a payment for gametes, for a donor, or for any medical service.

Can I discuss compensation or expenses with a match?

Privately, between connected users, yes, many donor and surrogacy arrangements lawfully involve reimbursement of expenses, and some places permit more. We take no position on what you agree, we're not a party to it, and we don't review, approve, or enforce it. Take independent legal advice before agreeing to anything.

How do you verify profiles?

Sign-up authentication plus a photo verification step that checks that the person in your profile photos is the person holding the phone. We may also require identity or age verification of any account at any time.

Do you run criminal background checks on members?

Accepted Answer

No. Banbino does not conduct criminal background screenings on its members. If we do run any check, for example after a report, those checks aren't foolproof, may create a false sense of security, cover only publicly available convictions, don't cover arrests or foreign convictions, and aren't updated after the date they're run. Do your own due diligence on anyone you meet.

What safety features are there?

How do I report someone?

Use the report button on any profile, photo, or message, or email contact@banbino.co. We act on reports of objectionable content and abusive users within 24 hours by removing the content and, where the report holds up, removing the user. Child safety reports, credible threats, and anything involving imminent risk are prioritised immediately.

What happens when I block someone?

They can't contact you and can't see your profile. You can block anyone at any time.

How do I report someone I think is under 18?

Accepted Answer

Use the report function on their profile or chat directly. We suspend suspected under-18 accounts immediately and terminate them unless the person verifies they're 18 or over.

Should I meet someone in person before making family-building decisions?

Yes, more than once. We'd also encourage counselling and legal consultation before entering any arrangement. When you meet, meet in public, tell someone where you're going, arrange your own transport, and don't share your home address early. We don't vet, endorse, or supervise users, and any decision to meet is yours and at your own risk.

What if someone I was talking to gets banned for fraud?

Where the law requires it and we can do so safely, we'll notify you: which profile it was, roughly when you last spoke, a warning that they may have used a false identity, and guidance on avoiding online fraud.

Banbino has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Serious breaches result in a permanent ban on the first occurrence.

Nudity, sexually explicit or suggestive content, harassment, threats, hate speech, scams, spam, false medical or genetic claims, intimate images shared without consent, deepfakes, commercial advertising or recruitment, and anything a reasonable adult would find inappropriate on a family-building platform.

Is Banbino a place to arrange sex?

No. You can't offer, request, advertise, or negotiate sexual services, escorting, “sugar dating”, compensated companionship, paid content, or camming here.

What is your policy on child safety?

Accepted Answer

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation and for any sexualised depiction of a minor, real, drawn, animated, or AI-generated. That includes sexualising a minor in text or conversation, grooming, promoting child trafficking or child marriage, sharing sexualised images of your own or anyone else's children, or any transaction involving a child. When we find it, we remove it immediately, permanently ban the account and any linked accounts, preserve evidence, and report confirmed material to NCMEC and to law enforcement. Our full child safety standards are in Section 6 of the Terms.

What happens if my account is actioned?

Depending on severity: a warning, content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or a permanent ban. We'll tell you what happened and why, unless we're legally prevented or notice would compromise an investigation or someone's safety.

That's your choice. Be aware that once you leave Banbino, none of our reporting, blocking, or moderation tools apply, and be cautious about anyone who pushes to move off-platform very early.

Who can see my profile?

Users who match your basic filter criteria. You control what else you share, and you can block specific users from seeing you. Premium includes incognito mode if you want more control over visibility.

How is my health and genetic information treated?

As sensitive personal data under laws like the GDPR and various US state privacy laws. We process it only with your explicit consent, given at the point you provide it, and only for the purposes in our Privacy Policy. You can withdraw consent by deleting the information or your account, though that may stop core features from working.

Only share health, genetic, or fertility information you're comfortable having strangers see. Once it's shared, it can be screenshotted or repeated in ways we can't reverse. Never share someone else's information without their consent.

Is Banbino covered by HIPAA?

No. We're not a healthcare provider or health plan, so we're generally not a covered entity. Your information with us is protected under our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy law. Information you share directly with a clinic is subject to that clinic's obligations.

Can I pause my account?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at any time. Your profile becomes invisible and your data is kept for when you come back. Pausing does not cancel a paid subscription.

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. You can also request it by emailing us. Your profile disappears from view immediately, and your personal data is deleted within 30 days. We keep limited records where we're legally required to, for example, enough to stop a banned account re-registering, or material we must preserve for a child safety or law enforcement matter.

Does deleting my account cancel my subscription?

No. If you subscribed through Apple or Google, deleting your account and deleting the app both leave the subscription running and you'll keep being charged. You have to cancel it separately through the store, see the subscription section.

They're permanently deleted. If you've made connections that matter, exchange contact details before you delete.

Does my subscription renew automatically?

Yes. It renews at the end of each period for another period of the same length at the then-current price, unless you cancel. You need to cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge. Your payment method is charged within the 24 hours before each new period starts.

What happens after a free trial?

If you don't cancel before it ends, the trial converts into a paid subscription at the standard price and renews automatically until you cancel. One trial per person.

How do I cancel?

Apple: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Banbino → Cancel; we can't cancel an Apple subscription for you. Google Play: Play Store app → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Banbino → Cancel. Bought directly from us: cancel in your account's subscription settings, or email contact@banbino.co. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, and you keep Premium until then. Cancelling a subscription doesn't delete your account.

Can I get a refund?

Charges are generally final, and there are no refunds for partly used periods or for accounts terminated for breaking the rules. Refunds go to whoever took the payment: Apple handles refunds for Apple purchases wherever you live (reportaproblem.apple.com); Google handles Play Store refunds through your order history; for purchases made directly from us, email contact@banbino.co with your order number.

Do I have a statutory cancellation right?

Often, yes, and nothing in our Terms removes it. In the EU, EEA and UK there's a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract, subject to the usual rules about services you've asked us to start providing. In California and a number of other US states there's a three-business-day cancellation right. Full detail is in Section 19 of the Terms. If you bought through Apple or Google, the request still has to go to them.

Prices vary by region and offer, and we run promotions. If we raise the price of a subscription you already hold, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and a clear chance to cancel first.
